Edward Hover, 72, of 3605 Hedden Hollow Rd., Cuba passed away Monday, December 20, 2010 at Buffalo General Hospital after a lengthy illness.
Born on September 16, 1938, in Salem, New York, he was a son of Frederick and Florence Frasier Hover. Only July 18, 1970, in Hinsdale, New York he married the former Barbara J. Rix who survives.

Mr. Hover was employed by the City of Olean Department of Public Works as a heavy equipment operator for 25 years retiring in 1995. While employed he served as the CSEA Union Representative.
He attended the Haskell Community Church.
Mr. Hover was an avid HAM radio operator and electronics enthusiast who could repair any type of electronic device. He collected antique tractors of all sizes. He was a self-taught musician who learned to play the piano, organ, harmonica, and guitar by ear. His family was first and foremost. Mr. Hover was always first to crack a joke that led to an endless sense of humor.
Surviving in addition to his wife Barbara are three sons, Robert (Shannon) Hover of Cuba, David Hover of Hinsdale, and
Eddie (Sherry Frost) Hover of Cuba; three daughters, Donna (Brain) Lunn of Portville, Karen Hover of Hinsdale, and Lori Harris of Cuba;
11 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents he was predeceased by six brothers, Lafayette Hover, Frank Hover, Dan Hover, Arthur Hover, Ralph Hover, and Frederick Hover, Jr., as well as five sisters, Rose Lebarron, Anna Lebarron, Edith Hover, Florence Harrington, and Alice Wilson.
The family will receive friends at the Mark F. Rinker Funeral Home & Memorial Service, Inc., 9 Bull Street, Cuba, on Wednesday, December 22, 2010 from 7-9 P.M. only where funeral services will be held on Thursday, December 23, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. The Rev. Robert Kaple, pastor of the Haskell Community Church, will officiate.
Burial will be in Our Lady of the Angels Cemetery, Cuba.
