For many years he had owned and operated Cummins & Kingbury Construction. He was also employed for both the town and village of Cuba Highway departments and after his retirement was the sexton of the Cuba Cemetery for over 15 years.

Mr. Cummins enjoyed hunting, working, and spending time with his family.

In addition to his wife and parents he was predeceased by a daughter Onalee Shelley on May 31, 2009, a great grandson Chase Cummins, 6 Brothers Herman, Arthur, Lawrence, Lavern, Pete & James Cummins, and 2 Sisters Anna Ward and Helen Bernard.
