Wilfred L. "Bill" Reigle, 84, of 8551A Hillcrest Rd, RUSHFORD, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, February 01, 2012 after a lengthy illness.
Born on November 19, 1927 he was a son of Lee and Mary Shunk Reigle. On July 2, 1949, in East Aurora, New York he married the former Joan A. Clifford who survives.

He attended Lancaster Schools and then served in the United States Army from Feb. 29, 1945 until April 15, 1947. He received the World War II victory medal for his service.
He returned to the area and went to work for Hackett Reclaiming Company in Tonawanda. Bill operated heavy equipment and cranes for many years retiring in the early 1980's.
When he was younger he enjoyed camping, boating, picnicking, fishing, and swimming at his cottage on Rushford Lake, was a die-hard Ford man, and always was an animal lover that adored all of his pets. He especially enjoyed spending time with his family.
In addition to his wife of 62 years, Mr. Reigle is survived by a daughter, Linda R. (Joel) Tucker of Rushford; two grandchildren, Patricia (Robert) Brown, and
Joel (Carolee) Tucker II; five great grandchildren, Krista (Michael) Simpson, Bradley and Brendon Brown, Austin Hare, and Zachary Tucker;
three brothers, Calvin (Marion) Reigle of Depew, Milton (Geraldine) Reigle of Lancaster, and Clinton (Audrey) Reigle of Buffalo;
a sister, Jean Swick of Middleport; and many nieces and nephews.
At Mr. Reigle's request there will be no visitation. Graveside services will be held on Saturday, February 4, 2012 at 11:00 A.M. in the White Cemetery, Rte. 243, Rushford, New York 14777. Dr. Stephen Spink, a close friend of the family, will officiate.
