After college Tim began working for the family oil business, Rinker Oil Corp. He worked in every aspect of the business, but retired as the President and Owner of Rinker Oil Corp in 2011 after 53 years. It was a job he truly enjoyed and loved working with his customers and employees.

Tim was a loving husband and father. He loved sharing with people how proud he was of his daughters and their families. When his daughters were young attended their sporting events never missing a game. Cuba was a very important part of Tim's life and he quite often spoke of Cuba's history telling of days past. He enjoyed his tours of Cuba Lake both by car and by pontoon boat. He was a true supporter of what Cuba had to offer. After retiring he loved playing cards, especially bridge. He will be remembered for having a catch phrase for everything.

Tim was an avid St. Bonaventure Men's Basketball holding season tickets for many years.

He was a member of Our Lady of Angels Church and a former member of the St. Vincent DePaul Society. He was a current member of the Elks Lodge # 1495 of Wellsville. He was a past member and president of the Cuba Rotary Club receiving the Paul Harris Fellowship Award for his service. He was instrumental in forming the Cuba Rushford Alumni Association and was proud to serve as its first president. He had also served on the Village of Cuba Board for 12 years, was deputy mayor, and in 1992 received the Cuba Chamber of Commerce's Award for Man of the Year. He also was a former member of the Bolivar and Wellsville Country Clubs.

Surviving in addition to his wife are Mary Kathryn (Jerome) Scherzinger of Fairmont, West Virginia, Jacquelyn (Steven) Torsoe of Montebello, NY, Joanne (Aaron) Dozier of Fort Worth, TX, and Elizabeth (Jon) Zimmerman of Cuba; his grandchildren Kathryn and Jacob Scherzinger, Kirsten and Kendra Torsoe, and Bailey and Kinsey Dozier; his sister Kay Lee Bradley Joiner of Cuba; and many nieces,nephews and cousins.

Friends will be received at the Mark F. Rinker Funeral Home & Memorial Service, Inc., 9 Bull Street Cuba, NY on Saturday, June 29, 2013 from 6-8 P.M. and on Sunday, June 30, 2013 from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, July 1, 2013 at 11:00 A.M. in Our Lady of Angels Church, 50 South Street, Cuba. Fr. Dennis Mancuso will be the celebrant.

A Scriptural Wake Service will be held in the funeral home on Sunday at 7:30 P.M.

Burial will be in Our Lady of Angels Cemetery, Cuba.

Memorials if desired may be sent to Our Lady of Angels Church, the Allegany County Area Foundation, the Cuba Rushford Alumni Association, or to a charity of the donor's choice.
