Theresa Berardi
Beloved Mother and Grandmother
Theresa Berardi, of 342 North Shore Rd, Cuba passed away peacefully Saturday, August 2, 2014 at home.

Born on November 9, 1945, in Kavala, Greece, she was a daughter of Vasilis and Christina Michaloglou Doxis. On January 23, 1966, in the Bronx, New York he married John P. Berardi who passed away December 7, 2005.

Mrs. Berardi was a selfless caregiver to family and friends. She enjoyed cooking, baking, gardening, and especially spending time with family. She was also fond of traveling, but her favorite vacation destination was Greece to visit her family. Morning sunrises while doing her daily Bible reading was one of her favorite pass times while living on Cuba Lake.

She was a former member of Immaculate Conception Church in Wellsville and a member of Our Lady of Angels Church in Cuba.

Surviving are three sons, John Berardi of Morganville, NJ, Mike (Amy) Berardi of Wellsville, NY, and Chris (Christine) Berardi of Cuba, NY; her grandchildren, Angela, Michael, Nikolas, Dominic, Anthony, Analiese, and Lily; a sister, Vasiliki Ayers of Okeechobee, Florida; a cousin, Christina Michaloglou of Hamburg, Germany; an aunt, Themetra Thema of Athens, Greece; and an uncle, Mehali Michaloglou (Anoula) of Kavala, Greece.

In addition to her parents and husband she was predeceased by a granddaughter, Christina Rose Berardi.

The family will receive friends at the Mark F. Rinker Funeral Home & Memorial Service, Inc., 9 Bull Street, Cuba, on Wednesday, August 6, 2014 from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, August 7, 2014 at Our Lady of Angels Church, 50 South Street, Cuba at 11:00 A.M. The Rev. Dennis J. Mancuso will be the celebrant.

Burial will be in Cuba Cemetery, Cuba, New York.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Our Lady of Angels Catholic Church, 50 South Street, Cuba, NY 14727 or Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 6 Maple Ave, Wellsville, NY 14895.
