Rachel Anne Ferris, 76, of 7978 Rawson Rd., town of New Hudson, passed away, Monday, Sept. 17, 2012 at home after a lengthy illness.
Born on March 19, 1936, in Sayre, PA, she was a daughter of Robert and LaJune Foster Brewer. On June 20, 1953, in Bolivar New York she married Raymond C. Ferris who survives.

Mrs. Ferris attended Bolivar Central School. She then co-owned and operated a dairy farm with her husband for many years on the Rawson Road. She later worked at Turfside restaurant in Rushford as a cook, and then was later employed as a nurse's aide at Underwood Manor until retiring.
She enjoyed Bingo, crafts, flowers, and spending time with her family.
Surviving are one son, Ted Ferris of New Hudson; two daughters, Carla Powers of New Hudson, and Gail (King) Wulf of East Otto;
nine grandchildren, Stephen, Angela, Melanie, Molly, Jason, Billy, Rhonda, Jackie, and Justin; nine great grandchildren, Jordan, Kahei, Kaleo, Jocelyn, Caedon, Braylon, Kayla, Seth, and Derick;
a brother, Robert Brewer of Shinglehouse; two sisters, Sue (Don) Faulkner of Portville, and Barbara Stevens of Huntington Beach, CA;
and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents she was predecased by a daughter Deborah Rank in 1985, a brother Francis Brewer, and a sister Marie Woodward.
Friends and family will be received at the Mark F. Rinker Funeral Home & Memorial Service, Inc., 9 Bull Street, Cuba, on Thursday, September 20, 2012 from 7-9 P.M. and on Friday, September 21, 2012 from 10-11A.M. at which time funeral services will be held. The Rev. Timothy Gleason, pastor of the Cuba United Methodist Church will officiate.
Burial will be in Cuba Cemetery, Cuba, NY.
