Born on October 17, 1954, in Olean, she was a daughter of Hubert and Annabelle (Ecker) Snyder.

Penny was a graduate of Cuba Central School Class of 1974. She had worked at Cuba Memorial Hospital, at both Cuba Central School and Friendship Central School in the laundry department, and last for Motorola in Arcade, prior to her retirement.

She enjoyed word searches, card games including euchre and rummy, playing the slots, cooking, and baking.

She is survived by three sons Joseph G. (Brandy) Frederick of Olean, Robert (Rachel) Frederick of Auburn, and Jonathon Ward of Cuba; seven grandchildren; her siblings; Tom Snyder, Glendora, California, Richard Snyder, Caneadea, Millie Johnson, Coldwater, Mississippi, Alice Bunk, Cuba, Mary Ann Spence, Belmont, Rose Snyder, Glendora California, Linda (Richard) Haagen, Virginia Beach, Virginia, and Kathy (Chuck) Babbitt, Caneadea; many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by two brothers and a sister-in-law Edward Snyder and Lloyd (Rose) Snyder.
