Mary Lou Cummins, 82, of 3896 Rte. 305, Cuba passed away Saturday, October 03, 2015 at Cuba Memorial Hospitals Primary Care Unit after a brief illness.

Born on January 20, 1933, in Wirt, New York, she was a daughter of Clyde and Irene Graves Burdick. On August 17, 1951, in the Town of West Clarksville she married Paul L. Cummins who survives.

Mary Lou was the Valedictorian of her Richburg Central School Graduating Class.

After graduation she worked as a secretary at Acme Electric, was bookkeeper for husbands business Cummins Construction of Cuba, and last worked in the cafeteria and monitored study halls at Cuba Central School prior to her retirement.

She enjoyed baking, sewing, ceramics, gardening and collecting angels. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family especially her grandchildren.

Surviving in addition to her husband are two sons, Barry (Tomie) Cummins, and Greg (Marie) Cummins both of Cuba; a daughter, Paula (Glenn) Jackson of Louisville, Georgia; six grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; one great great grandson; a brother, Wilbert Burdick of Richburg; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents she was predeceased by two sisters Mildred Goodliff and Elizabeth Bawker.

The family will receive friends at the Mark F. Rinker Funeral Home & Memorial Service, Inc., 9 Bull Street, Cuba, on Tuesday, October 6, 2015 from 6-9 P.M. only. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, October 7, 2015 at 10:00 A.M. at the First Baptist Church, 17 South Street, Cuba. The Rev. Robert L. Manzinger, interim pastor will officiate.

Burial will be in the Cuba Cemetery, Cuba, New York.

Memorials if desired may be made to the First Baptist Church.
