Martha L. Near, 85, of 503 Rte 446, Cuba, passed away Thursday, March 17, 2011 at home surrounded by her loving family.
Born on March 22, 1925, in Brockport, Pa, she was a daughter of Robert and Marie Ohl Henry. She is survived by her loving husband of 53 years Robert G. Near.

For a short period of time Mrs. Near worked at Zippo but most of all she was a loving wife and homemaker.
She enjoyed reading, shopping, scratch off tickets, but most of all spending time with her family.
Surviving in addition to her husband Robert of Cuba are five children, Leslie (Paul Moran) Weaver of Rochester, James (Peggy) Daugherty of Hinsdale,
Bobbi (John) Koehler of Brockport, PA, Jennifer (Donald) Baldwin of Cuba, and Rhonda (Mark) Gross; grandchildren, Katrina Nelson, Alecia Coppini, Jackie Bishop, Stephen Bishop, Cindy Rinfrette, Frankie Weaver, Philip Weaver, Levon Haugh, Jacob Daugherty, Shannon Beaty, Kyle Beaty, Douglas Baldwin, Daniel Baldwin, Erin Baldwin, Zachary Gross, Emily Gross and Caleb Gross;
several great grandchildren; two sisters, Helen "Colby" (Richard) Keesler of Hazelhurst, PA, and Bell Shields of Derrick City, PA;
and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents she was predeceased by a daughter Linda Bishop in 1997, a sister Lorraine McGee, and brothers Douglas Weaver and William Weaver.
The family will receive friends at the Mark F. Rinker Funeral Home & Memorial Service, Inc., 9 Bull Street, Cuba, on Sunday, March 20, 2011 from Noon until 2:00 P.M. at which time funeral services will be held. The Rev. Terry Jenks, pastor of the Maplehurst Baptist Church, will officiate.
Burial will be in Bellville Cemetery, Town of New Hudson, New York.
