Lorenzo C. "Curt" Sinclair, 79, of 6283 State Route 305 Black Creek, New York, passed away Friday, February 3, 2012 at home after a short but courageous battle with cancer.
Born on May 31, 1932, in Bradford, PA he was a son of David and Josephine Brink Sinclair. On February 13, 1952, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma he married the former Lucy A. Gritts who survives.

Curt served in the United States Air Force during the Korean Era as a mechanic from July 6, 1950 until July 6, 1954. He received the National Defense Service Medal for his service.
Mr. Sinclair bought his first farm in 1954 and owned and operated that farm for the next 47 years milking as many as 75-80 head at one time, prior to retiring. He always enjoyed the simple life that the area provided.
He was a member of the Cuba American Legion Post 655, the Cuba VFW Post 2721, and a lifetime member of the Ellicottville American Legion Post 659, and was a former member of the Cornell Cooperative Extension.
Surviving in addition to his wife of 60 years are a son, David Sinclair of Salamanca; two grandchildren, Brandy (Brian) Sinclair O'Hagan of Pittsbugh, PA, and
Christopher Michael Sinclair of Houston, TX; a great grand daughter, Lemony L. O'Hagan; a sister, Donna Jean Chase of Delrio Texas;
a brother-in-law, Calvin Chase; several nieces and nephews; and many close friends.
In addition to his parents he was predeceased by a son Michael Andrew Sinclair on August 29, 2010; and a brother Arthur Sinclair.
At Mr. Sinclair's request there will be no public visitation or services. Private family services will be held at the convenience of the family.
Burial will be Black Creek Cemetery, Town of New Hudson, New York.
