Linda S. Vogel
Beloved Wife and Mother
Linda S. Vogel, 58, of 6373 Route 305, Black Creek, New York, passed away Saturday, June 05, 2010 at Olean General Hospital after a brief illness.

Born on May 28, 1952, in Dansville, New York, she was a daughter of Walter G. and Elaine Christie Cobin. On June 19, 1970, in Hunt, NY she married David A. Vogel who survives.

Mrs. Vogel had worked for the Cuba Cheese Shoppe, the Black Creek Store, River Valley Farms of Belfast, and Stauffer's Cookie Factory. She was currently employed by Empire Cheese of Cuba in the Food Service Department prior to retiring due to illness.

Linda enjoyed spending time with her mother, family, and especially her grandchildren. She also enjoyed traveling.

She was a past member of the New Hudson Volunteer Fire Department Auxiliary.

Surviving in addition to her husband are her mother, Elaine Cobin of Dalton; two sons, David Vogel, Jr. of Black Creek, and Steven (Jennifer) Vogel of Marysville, Ohio; a daughter, Shelley (Rick) Learn; six grandchildren and one great grandson; four brothers, Harley "Bubby" (Suzette) Cobin of Hunt, Donald (Penny) Cobin of Dalton, John (Lori) Cobin of Dalton, and Gordy (Heather) Cobin of Hunt; seven sisters, Eleanor "Pokie" Penner of Perry Center, Patricia (Dean) Tittle of Crew Virginia, Wanda (Bob) Black of Fayett, Maine, Hazel "Debbie" (Clyde) Clancy of Hunt, Carol (Daren) Vogel of Black Creek, Jane (Alan) Lockwood of Belfast, and Nancy Smith of Black Creek; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her father, she was predeceased by a grandson Derek Learn, a brother Rodney Cobin, and her mother in law Mary Vogel.

Friends may call at the Mark F. Rinker Funeral Home & Memorial Service, Inc., 9 Bull Street, Cuba, New York on Tuesday, June 8, 2010 from 7-9 P.M. and on Wednesday, June 9, 2010 from 10:00 A.M. until noon at which time funeral services will be held. The Rev. Larry A. Poelma, pastor of the First Baptist Church of Cuba, will officiate.
