Linda K. Smith, 62, of 8934 Spring Valley Road, Cuba, passed away Wednesday, October 1, 2014 at Cuba Memorial Hospital's Palliative Care Program after a lengthy illness.
Born on February 16, 1952, in Cuba Memorial Hospital she was a daughter of Jake and Pauline Lyons Cooper.

Linda was a graduate of Cuba Central School and later went on to become a Registered Nurse graduating from Alfred University. She began working in the Rochester area for Strong Memorial Hospital, Highland Hospital, then returned to Allegany County working for Jones Memorial Hospital and then went to work for Olean General Hospital until retiring due to her health. She also was a bartender for the Cozy Corner in Friendship for many years and always enjoyed the special times there.
She enjoyed spending time with her family and going to her grandchildren's sporting events.
Surviving are her children, Chad (Angela) Smith of Cuba, Christopher (Jeanette) Smith of Eldred, PA, and Paula Smith Allis of Severn Maryland; her grandchildren Adam, Olivia, Evan, Emily, Autumn, and Ethan;
three brothers, James (Sandra) Cooper of Belmont, Dennis (Beverly) Cooper of Friendship, and Daniel (Cathy) Cooper of Florida; and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents.
At Linda's request there will be no visitation or funeral services.
Arrangements are under direction of the Mark F. Rinker Funeral Home & Memorial Service, Inc., Cuba.
