Beloved Husband, Father, Grandfather and Friend

Laurence G. "Buck" Durkee, 77, of 8054 Rawson Road, Town of Rushford, passed away Friday, March 28, 2015 at home after a courageous battle with cancer.
Born on June 27, 1937, in Adrian, New York he was a son of Gerald and Lenora Fisher Durkee. On May 4, 1956, he married the wife of 58 years, the former Sherley M. Speta who survives.

| Buck was a graduate of Rushford Central School Class of 1955. He owned and operated his own Dairy Farm on the Rawson Road for over 30 years and also operated a saw mill for 15 years.
He enjoyed shooting trap, hunting, riding snowmobile, and bowling on the farmer's league at Echo Lanes. He also enjoyed being a counselor to the neighborhood.
Surviving in addition to his wife are a daughter, Pamela (Randy) Bittinger of Bradford; three grandchildren, Amanda, Brenda, and Gerid;
five sisters, Lucinda (Clark) Parry of Florida, Sally Hall of Nunda, Valena (Ronald) Greene of Richburg, Meredith Fisher of Ohio, and Cheryl Roblee of Famersville;
and several nieces and nephews.
At Buck's request a gathering with friends and family will be held later this summer at a date and time to be announced.
