Kenneth W. “Bud” Pinney
Loving Husband, Father, Grandfather
Kenneth W. "Bud" Pinney, 80, of 9674 North Shore Rd. Cuba, passed away Wednesday, January 19, 2011 at Cuba Memorial Hospital after a lengthy illness.

Born on June 29, 1930 in Hinsdale, New York, he was a son of Luthene and Marie Hitchcock Pinney. On January 8, 1955 in Cuba, New York, he married the former Anna Mae Cummins, his wife of 56 years, who survives.

Mr. Pinney began working for the Olean Transfer Company in Olean, which later became DeWitt Concrete and retired in 1993 after 27 years of service.

He enjoyed woodworking, auctions, antiques, bird watching, and his family. He also enjoyed doing odd jobs for his girls.

Surviving in addition to his wife Anna are one son, Michael (Corinna) Pinney of Cuba; three daughters, Connie Clayson of Cuba, Jean (Steve) Botens of Black Creek, and Mary Beth Pinney of Cuba; 9 Grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; a brother, Arthur (Joyce) Pinney of Little Genesee; a sister, Phyllis Benedict of Hannibal, NY; a sister-in-law, Loretta Pinney of Little Genesee; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents he was predeceased by a brother George Pinney.

Friends and family will be received at the Mark F. Rinker Funeral Home & Memorial Service, Inc., 9 Bull Street, Cuba on Friday, January 21, 2011 from 2-4 & 7-9 P.M. where funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 22, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. The Rev. Larry A. Poelma, pastor of the First Baptist Church of Cuba, will officiate.

Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Friendship, NY.
