John J. Dunn

John J. Dunn, 27, 59 Maple Street, Cuba, passed away Friday, June 30, 2017.

Born on July 21, 1989, in Wellsville, New York he was a son of Terrance Tears and Monica Moyer Morris. On April 12, 2016 at East Hampton Town Court, New York he married Janeen M. Dunn who survives.

He was a graduate of Pierson High School Class of 2007 in Sag Harbor, New York.

John served in the United States Navy on the USS San Antonio from March 3, 2010 until November 4, 2011. He received the National Defense Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Medal and Navy Pistol Marksmanship Ribbon.

He was an avid outdoorsmen that enjoyed being outdoors hiking, walking, camping, bon fires, and landscaping and maintaining his lawn. He was especially proud of his children and loved any opportunity he had to spend time with them or to show them off. He also enjoyed a wide range of music.

Surviving in addition to his wife are his children, Sabastian Dunn and Samuel Dunn both at home; his father, Terrance Tears of Friendship; his mother, Monica Morris of Cuba; two brothers, Benjamin Lehmann of Sag Harbor, NY and Jesse Proctor of Bolivar, NY; three sisters, Sarah Lehmann of Chesnee, SC, Michelle Fleming of Chesnee, SC and Melissa (Brian) Ocke of Ontario, NY.

Visitation of will held on Monday, July 3, 2017 from 10:00 A.M. until Noon at the North Park Wesleyan Church at which time Funeral Services will be held. The Rev. Jeff Giampa, will officiate.

Arrangements are under direction of the Mark F. Rinker Funeral Home & Memorial Service, Inc., 9 Bull Street., Cuba.
