Born on June 29, 1955, in Marysville, California, he was a son of Joseph L. and Patricia Stevens Pratt. On June 29, 1994, at the Cuba First Presbyterian Church, he married the former Elizabeth A. “Buffy” Callen who survives.

Jeff was a graduate of Randolph Central School Class of 1973. He served his country in the United States NAVY from 1973-77. After serving he was employed by BOCES as an Electronic Technician for most of his career. As a retirement job he started North Shore Dock Works on Cuba Lake.

He was a member of Enchanted Mountain Beagle Club in Olean, the Cuba American Legion Post 655, and the Cuba Lake Yacht Club. He enjoyed hunting and loved fishing.

He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth, his mother Patricia Pratt of Scio; a son Joseph O. (Alacia) Pratt of Friendship; five grandchildren; 3 Brothers Dana Pratt of Belmont, Gregory (Amy) Pratt of Binghamton, and Stephen (Lisa) Pratt of Eldred; a sister-in-law Colleen (Keith) Stannard of Ovid; as well as several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

In addition to his father, Joseph, he was predeceased by a brother Kevin Pratt.

The family will receive friends at the Mark F. Rinker Funeral Home & Memorial Service, Inc., 9 Bull Street, Cuba, on Friday, July 18, 2025 from 2-4, with a Memorial Service beginning at 4 P.M. Rev. Marilyn Hale, will officiate.
