Loving mother and Grandmother
Gladys C. Lee, 94, of Cuba, New York, passed away Tuesday, September 21, 2010 in Cuba Memorial Hospital's Residential Healthcare Facility after a lengthy illness.

Born on Nov. 18, 1915, in Buffalo, New York, she was a daughter of Edward and Margaret Havens Rohe. On October 3, 1942, in Eldred, PA, she married Clifford F. Lee who predeceased her.

Mrs. Lee was a homemaker and enjoyed reading, writing poetry, knitting, cross-stitch, crocheting, and Atlanta Braves baseball.

She resided in Cuba until retiring to Summerfield, Florida in 1982. In 2005, Gladys returned to Cuba and in 2007 became a resident of Cuba Memorial Hospital's Skilled Nursing Facility.

Mrs. Lee is survived by her children, Donna (Richard) Mazza of Summerfield, Florida, Daniel (Sharon) Emerson of Cuba, James (Ann) Lee of Limestone, Tennessee, Joanne Piechota of Cuba, and Robert (Cheryl) Lee of Hinsdale; 19 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren; a brother, Arthur (Grace) Rohe of Buffalo; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband she was predeceased by three sisters, two brothers, and a son-in-law Stan Piechota.

A Memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 25, 2010, at North Park Wesleyan Church, 13 North Park, Cuba, New York 14727, at 3:00 P.M. The Rev. Jonathan D. Ward, will officiate.

Burial will be in Cuba Cemetery, Cuba, New York.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude's Children's research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
