Faye N. Gibson, 82, formerly of 34 Prospect Street, Cuba, passed away Thursday, September 22, 2016 at Cuba Memorial Hospital's Palliative Care Unit after a lengthy illness.
Born on December 24, 1933, in Buffalo she was a daughter of Theodore and Mary Ellen Starr.

| She graduated from high school in Buffalo and later graduated from Earls Vocational Business school in Buffalo with a secretarial degree.
She had been employed as a clerk for Allegany County before retiring.
Faye volunteered for many years at the Cuba Fire Department and made afghans for the firemen's homes. She also loved to crochet.
Surviving are six nieces, Dawn Starr, Susan Starr, Mary Ellen Starr, Catherine Starr, Katherine Starr and Suzanne Starr; and a sister in law, Judy (Fred) Page.
In addition to her parents she was predeceased two brothers, Kenneth Starr and Louis Starr; and her longtime loving companion Robert W. "Bob" Lester on January 10, 2014.
Honoring Faye's wishes there will be no visitation or funeral services. Burial will be in Cuba Cemetery, Cuba, New York.
Memorial's in Faye's name may be made to the Cuba Circulating Library, 39 East Main Street, Cuba, or to the Cuba Fire Department.
