Edith "Ernie" Ernestine Butts, 86, of 701 Hardy Way, Auburndale, Florida, and formerly of Cuba New York passed away Sunday August 6, 2017 at Valencia Hills Health & Rehab in Lakeland, Florida after lengthy illnesses.
Ernie was born on November 20, 1930 in the Town of New Hudson, NY. She was the daughter of Ernest M and Mildred Gleason Ramsey. On July 24, 1948 she married Floyd Robert Butts who predeceased her on May 29, 1980.

Ernie is a graduate of Cuba Central School Class of 1948.
She retired as a pharmacy tech for Eckerd Drugs.
Ernie was a charter life member for the Cuba AmVets Post #1 Women's Auxiliary and a life member of the Cuba Ladies Auxiliary to the VFW Post #2721 and Cuba American Legion Post # 655.
She is survived by; 3 children, Gary Alan (Sharon) Butts, Delta, PA, Bonnie Jean Butts Faust, Salt Lake City, Utah, Randy Lee (Terri) Butts, Auburndale, FL; 7 grandchildren Zenon Butts (Sarah), Rory Butts (Susan), Vanessa Stevens (Dennis), Robert "Bobby" Butts, Kyle Butts (Shandi), Kendra Faust, Tyler Faust; 6 great-grandchildren, Olivia Stevens, Roein Butts, Cole Butts, Natalie Stevens, Dakota Gregg, Anthony Butts, and her brother Fred Ramsey of Cuba, Several Nieces and Nephews.
She is predeceased by her husband, parents, and daughter Deborah Ann Butts.
Ernie will be missed by many other family & friends.
The family will receive friends at the Mark F. Rinker Funeral Home & Memorial Service, Inc., 9 Bull Street, Cuba, on Friday, August 11, 2017 from 2-4 & 7-9 P.M. and again on Saturday, August 12, 2017 from 10:00 A.M. unitl 11:00 A.M. at which time funeral services will be held. Claudia Little will officiate.
Burial will be in Cuba Cemetery, Cuba, New York.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Cuba AmVets Post #1 Ladies Auxiliary.
