Dorothy M. Tredway, 87, of 6245 Rte 305 Black Creek, passed away Monday, June 27, 2016 at Olean General Hospital after a brief illness.
Born on May 24, 1929, in Olean, she was a daughter of Norman S. and Genevieve A. Smith Becker. On Nov. 12, 1948, in Bolivar, she married Lindsay Tredway who preceded her in death on Jan. 24, 2009.

Dorothy went to Olean's School 4, School 7, and Olean High School before moving to Black Creek and graduated from the former Cuba High School.
She worked on the finish line at Acme Electric and was a loving homemaker, wife, mother, and grandmother.
Dorothy was a past social member of the Franklinville Conservation Club and Franklinville VFW. She enjoyed square dancing, round dancing, traveling, cooking, her family and holidays.
Surviving are her three sons, David Tredway of Olean, Guy (JoAnn) Tredway of Rushford Lake, and Thomas (Tracy) Tredway of Cuba; five grandchildren and several great grandchildren; two sisters, Norma Vogel Andrus of Black Creek, and Carolyn (Stan) Burrell of Stannards; a sister-in-law, Joyce Becker of Cuba;
and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband she was predeceased by a grandson; and two brothers Theodore Becker and Donald Becker.
The family will receive friends at the Mark F. Rinker Funeral Home & Memorial Service, Inc., 9 Bull Street Cuba, New York on Saturday, July 2, 2016 from 1-3 P.M. only at which time funeral services will be held. Pastor Vickie Hedlund, Pastoral Care Coordinator at Olean General Hospital, will officiate.
Burial will be in Allegany Cemetery, Allegany, New York.
