Donald A. Beaver

Donald A. Beaver, 80, of 3894 Haskell Road, Cuba, passed away Thursday, January 22, 2026 at Olean General Hospital after a brief illness.

Born on July 16, 1945, in Olean, he was a son of Harry F. and Alberta (Cousins) Beaver. On June 18, 1983, in West Clarksville, he married the former Linda J. Schneider who predeceased him on February 11, 2014.

Don worked for Clark Brothers and LC Whitford as a heavy equipment mechanic. Later in life he sold organic products to help local farmers.

He was a member of the Cuba Friendship Masonic Lodge #306 and the McKee Tri-Star 242 Order of the Eastern Star. In each organization he held many of the positions throughout the years. Volunteering was important to him and for 25 years he volunteered at the annual Bath VA July 4th picnic and at the Boy Scouts of America’s February breakfast during ice camp. He enjoyed metal fabrication, gun smithing, bench rest shooting, nature, and family.

He is survived by his children Dennis (Natalia) Rasmusson of Georgia, Michael (Edana) Pfouts of South Carolina, and Amy (Tim) Mattison of Cuba; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; three brothers Harry (Gretchen) Beaver of Kendall, Bill (Nancy) Beaver and Paul Beaver both of Cuba; a sister Margie (George) Rought of Olean; a daughter in law Lisa Beaver of Olean; several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a son Jeffrey S. “Beav” Beaver and two brothers Charles and Robert Beaver.

Friends will be received at the Mark F. Rinker Funeral Home & Memorial Service, Inc., 9 Bull Street, Cuba on Saturday, February, 7, 2026 from 11:00 until 1:00 P.M. At 1:00 members of the Cuba Friendship Masonic Lodge #306 and McKee Tri-Star 242 Order of the Easter Star will conduct funeral services.
