Dawn Louise Smith, 63, formerly of Cuba, New York and Dryden, passed away Sunday, February 04, 2024 at the Cayuga Nursing and Rehabilitation Center after a lengthy illness.
Born on April 27, 1960, in Hornell, she was a daughter of Herbert and Ann Witter Smith.
Dawn was a graduate of Cuba Central School Class of 1978. She later attended the Veterinary Program at Cornell University.
She had been a pet sitter for many years and worked in a Veterinary Clinic in the Dryden area prior to becoming ill.
Knitting, crocheting, horseback riding were things she enjoyed doing. She also enjoyed Cheerleading in High School.
She is survived by her twin sisters Deanna Smith and Dianna Shawl both of Cuba; several aunts, uncles, and cousins; a special friend, Delores Hicks of Ithaca; one nephew, one great nephew and two great nieces.
Friends may call at the Mark F. Rinker Funeral Home & Memorial Service, Inc., 9 Bull Street, Cuba, on Saturday, February 10, 2024 from 10:00 A.M. until Noon.
Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
