Dana Michelle Williams, 44, of Salisbury, North Carolina and formerly of Friendship, New York, passed away November 9, 2016 at her home surrounded by her family.
Dana was Born on December 24, 1971 to William Ritter and Judy Ward. Dana grew up in Friendship and was a graduate of Friendship Central School Class and 1990 and later attended B.O.C.E.S. Allegany County Technical School and became a LPN.

In 1999 Dana met her husband Matthew and they spent the next 17 years together. She loved her family, especially her children, NASCAR, Flea Markets, boating, puzzles and pretty much anything to do with life.
In addition to her husband, Matthew, of Salisbury she is survived by her children, Justin Thornton, Timothy Thornton, and Alyssa Thornton; a granddaughter, Karlie Thornton;
her parents; two brothers, Brett Ritter of Belfast, NY and Brad (Melony) Ritter of Harrisburg, NC; a sister, Billi Jo Ritter of Friendship, NY; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
The family is hosting an informal Celebration of Life Service at the Friendship American Legion Post 1168 on Saturday, August 19, 2017 from Noon until 2:00 P.M. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
Arrangements are under direction of the Mark F. Rinker Funeral Home & Memorial Service, Inc., Cuba.
