Born on July 4, 1938, in Carthage, New York, she was a daughter of William Bishop and Helen R. Cheeseman. On September 9, 1975, in Churchville, she married Gary Carr who survives.

Catherine had worked for French’s in Rochester and was later hired to work at Kodak from where she retired after many years of employment. After retirement she and her husband moved to Friendship to live.

She was a member of Our Lady of Angels Church in Cuba. She loved to travel with her daughter Mary Ellen.

In addition to her husband Gary of the Wellsville Manor, she is survived by her children, Julie (Steven) Hawkins of Arizona, Julie Ann Carr of Buffalo, Cindy Mungillo of Brockport and Kenneth Carr; a son in law, Doy McPhail; a sister, Alice (James) Millspaugh of Laconia, New Hampshire; special friends, Cindy and Ted Whitcher and Shannon and Desi Davis; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by 2 daughters Mary Ellen McPhail and Margaret Friedrich, and a son Charles Friedrich, and a brother Vernon D. “Pat” Brockway.

At her request there will be no services.
