Carlisle S. Rix, Jr., 68, of 4277 Town line Road, Cuba, passed away Friday, December 02, 2011 at Olean General Hospital after a lengthy illness.
Born on on July 5, 1943, in Cuba, NY, he was a son of Carlisle S. and Eva Katherine Wysocki Rix, Sr. On June 17, 1967, in Our Lady of Angels Church, Cuba, he married the former Linda M. Edwards who survives.

Mr. Rix was a lifelong dairy farmer, and he operated the farm with his wife.
Mr. Rix was a member of Our Lady of Angles Church, Cuba. He was a member of the Allegheny Mountain Engine & Implement Association; collected Ertl Banks, and enjoyed hunting, Chinese auctions, and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
Surviving in addition to his wife are three sons, Michael (Casey) Rix of Cuba, Mark (Melissa) Rix of Cuba, and Jason (Caryn) Rix of Hinsdale;
a daughter, Michelle Braley of Cuba; nine grandchildren, two brothers, Joseph (Marjorie) Rix, and Donald Rix both of Cuba; and a sister, Barbara J. Hover of Cuba.
Friends will be received at the Mark F. Rinker Funeral Home & Memorial Service, Inc., 9 Bull St., Cuba, on Sunday, Dec. 4, 2011 from 2-4 & 7-9 P.M. where funeral services will be held on Monday, Dec. 5, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. Deacon Frank Pasquale will officiate.
Burial will be in Our Lady of Angels Cemetery, Cuba.
