Beloved Husband, Father, Grandfather
Carl D. Wagner, 74, of 9103 Jackson Hill Rd., Cuba, passed away Saturday, October 10, 2015 at his daughter's home after a courageous battle with cancer.

Born on October 25, 1940, in New Hudson, New York he was a son of Robert and Isabelle Snider Wagner. On August 26, 1961, in West Valley, New York he married the former Eleanor M. DeGroff whom survives.

Carl was a graduate of Cuba Central School Class of 1958. After high school he worked in the construction and logging industry, logging from 1976-1983 and then went to work as a heavy equipment operator for Cold Springs Construction retiring after 27 years of service.

He was a member of the Shawn Clemens Memorial AmVets Post 1 of Cuba, the Cuba American Legion Post 655, and a former member of the Franklinville Conservation Club.

He enjoyed cutting firewood, restoring old tractors, country music, square dancing, camping, and annual trips to the Jamboree in the Hills for over 12 years.

Surviving in addition to his wife are three daughters, Barbara (Gary) Knapp of Friendsville, Tennessee, Mary (Russ) Seigel of Cuba, and Holly (William) Buddell of Friendship; five grandchildren, five great grand children; one brother, Nelson (Sue) Wagner of Endicott, NY; a sister, Ruth (Clyde) DeGroff of Bancroft, Wisconsin; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents he was predeceased by a half brother David Wagner and a half sister Naomi Olive.

Friends will be received at the Mark F. Rinker Funeral Home & Memorial Service, Inc., 9 Bull Street, Cuba on Monday, October 12, 2015 from 7-9 and on Tuesday, October 13 from 10:00 until Noon at which time funeral services will be held. The Rev. Stan Scoville, Olean Hospice Chaplain, will officiate.

Burial will be in Black Creek Cemetery, Town of New Hudson, New York.
