Arnold B. “Jack” Crisman Devoted Husband and Father

Arnold B. "Jack" Crisman, 85, of 6082 Mt. Monroe Rd., Cuba, and formerly of Allegany, passed away Sunday, February 7, 2016 at Olean General Hospital after an illness.
Born on June 4, 1930, in Harmarville, PA he was a son of David A. and Vera Keller Crisman. In September 1962, in Niagara Falls he married the former Maryse Boussely his beloved wife of 53 years.

Arnold proudly served the United States Army from July 14, 1947 until July 5, 1950.
He received training to be radio operator in the Army, afterwards he became a mason, but also did general contracting in the area for many years. He was a member of the Bricklayers Union. In 1987 he opened Quartier Latin Discount Books on North Union Street in Olean and retired after closing the store in the summer of 2004.
Mr. Crisman enjoyed spending time at his cabin in Sheffield PA for many years and also the time he shared with his family. His love for animals brought him his beloved dog and store mascot Oliver and his other beloved dog Nicki.
He was deeply loved by his wife and daughter Jackie (Rev. John M.) Crisman Woodring of Cuba, his brother David Crisman Sr. of Butler, PA, as well as several nieces and nephews.
He will be greeted in heaven by his parents and siblings Dennis, Aretta, Virginia, and Faye.
Friends may attend a Memorial Visitation at the First Presbyterian Church of Allegany, 44 N 3rd St, Allegany, NY 14706 on Saturday, February 20, 2016 from Noon until 1:00 P.M. at which time a Memorial Service celebrating Jack's life will be held. The Rev. Marilyn Hale will officiate.
